Juara Holding Group operates derawanseaplanecharter.com as an independent coordination desk, not an aircraft operator, dive resort or airline — we arrange seaplane, speedboat and transfer logistics between Kalimarau Airport (BEJ) and the Derawan archipelago through licensed Indonesian operators. Every quote we send is dated and subject to change, and a booking is only confirmed once the relevant operator accepts it. These terms explain what that arrangement means for you as a traveller, effective as of September 2026 and subject to update.
Who Is Juara Holding Group and What Do These Terms Cover?
Juara Holding Group, established 2015, is an independent broker and travel-coordination business. We are not a seaplane operator, not an airline, not a dive resort, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a subsidiary of any specific named carrier, resort or boat operator we may mention on this site. Our role is to research routing between Berau (Kalimarau Airport, BEJ), Tanjung Redeb, Tanjung Batu and the islands of Derawan, Maratua, Kakaban and Sangalaki, assemble an itinerary, and place your booking with a licensed operator who actually performs the flight, boat transfer, or accommodation. These terms apply to every quote request, itinerary, deposit and communication you make with us through this website, WhatsApp or email, whether or not a booking is ultimately confirmed.
Because we do not own aircraft, boats or lodges, the operator you travel with sets and enforces its own operational rules, safety procedures and conditions of carriage. Where those rules are stricter than ours, the operator’s rules govern the trip itself.
How Do Quotes, Deposits and Payments Work?
No published or quoted price on this site is a fixed tariff. As of September 2026, no seaplane operator, per-hour rate, fuel surcharge or landing fee for a Berau-to-Derawan route is publicly verified anywhere, so every seaplane figure we give you is quote-on-request and must be reconfirmed with the operator before payment. Reference pricing for boat-based itineraries in the region (for context only, not a Derawan Seaplane Charter tariff) has run from a few hundred thousand rupiah for a shared taxi-and-boat segment up to several thousand US dollars per night for a private phinisi charter; none of these figures bind us to a specific quote for your trip.
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| Quote request | We return a dated, itemised estimate; validity is stated in the message and typically expires within days, since fuel, operator availability and season affect the price |
| Deposit | A deposit secures a provisional hold with the operator; the amount and due date are stated per itinerary and are not refundable once the operator confirms the slot, except as set out below |
| Balance | Due before departure, on the schedule the operator sets; unpaid balances can result in the reservation being released |
| Confirmation | A booking is confirmed only when the operator — not Juara Holding Group — accepts it in writing |
We accept payment only through the routes we state in writing (bank transfer or another method confirmed by our team). We will never ask you to pay through an unsolicited link or a third party we have not named in writing.
What Happens If Weather or an Operator Reroutes Your Trip?
Water landings, whether at Derawan, Maratua, Kakaban or Sangalaki, are subject to operator approval, aviation-authority permits, and conditions on the day. As of September 2026 no designated water aerodrome for this route is publicly documented, so every seaplane segment depends on the operator’s own clearance process at the time of travel. Berau’s weather, sea state and, on Maratua, the limited twice-weekly Wings Air schedule can all affect timing. If a flight or transfer cannot proceed safely, the operator decides whether to delay, substitute a road-and-boat routing (roughly 2 to 2.5 hours Kalimarau to Tanjung Batu by road, then about 30 minutes to Derawan, around 1 hour to Kakaban, or about 2 hours to Maratua or Sangalaki by speedboat), or reschedule. We relay these decisions as soon as the operator confirms them; we do not control or guarantee departure times, water-landing approval, or weather.
What Is Our Cancellation and Refund Policy?
Because operators hold their own inventory and incur costs once a slot is blocked, cancellation terms follow the operator’s policy first and our coordination fee second.
| Who cancels | Typical outcome |
|---|---|
| You, before deposit is paid | No charge; no booking exists yet |
| You, after deposit, before operator cutoff | Refund per the operator’s stated policy, minus any non-recoverable costs already paid on your behalf |
| You, after the operator’s cutoff or inside the no-show window | Deposit and any paid balance are generally non-refundable, per the operator’s terms |
| Operator cancels for weather, mechanical or safety reasons | We work with you on rebooking or refund of amounts the operator returns to us; Juara Holding Group’s own coordination fee is non-refundable once work has begun |
| Juara Holding Group is unable to place your booking with any operator | Full refund of any deposit held by us |
Every itinerary we send states the specific deadline and terms that apply to it; where this page and your itinerary differ, the itinerary controls.
What Are Your Obligations as a Passenger?
Seaplane operations carry weight, safety and documentation requirements that we cannot waive on your behalf.
- Declare your accurate body weight and baggage weight when asked; seaplane and light-aircraft capacity is safety-limited, and misstatement can result in denied boarding without refund.
- Carry valid government identification (passport for international visitors) matching your booking name for every domestic flight and resort check-in.
- If you plan to dive at Kakaban, Maratua or Sangalaki before flying, follow the surface-interval guidance issued by recognised dive training agencies such as PADI or DAN, commonly cited as at least 18 to 24 hours before flying, and confirm the operator’s own pre-flight policy; we are not a dive operator and do not certify or supervise dives.
- Follow crew and resort safety briefings, boarding weight allocations, and any luggage restrictions the operator sets for the aircraft or vessel in use.
- Hold appropriate travel insurance; we do not provide insurance and are not liable for costs an insurer would normally cover.
What Are the Limits of Our Liability?
Juara Holding Group is a broker, not the party performing your flight, boat transfer or accommodation. We select operators we believe to be licensed and vet the arrangements we present, but the operator is responsible for the safe performance of the service, its own insurance, and compliance with Indonesian aviation and maritime regulation. We are not a licensed financial, legal or tax adviser, and nothing on this site is such advice. To the extent permitted under Indonesian law, our liability is limited to the coordination fee we retain; we are not liable for delay, injury, loss or cost arising from an operator’s act, omission, weather, or a government decision, though we will assist you in pursuing a remedy with the operator concerned.
How Do We Handle Your Personal Data?
We collect the information needed to build and place your booking — name, contact details, passport details where an operator requires them, and weight declarations for flight safety. For visitors in Indonesia, this is handled under Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (UU PDP), which gives you the right to access, correct or request deletion of your data and requires our consent before we forward it to an operator. For visitors from the European Economic Area or the UK, we aim to honour the same access, correction and erasure principles that the GDPR sets out, on request. We do not sell your data, and we share it only with the operators needed to fulfil your specific booking.
What Law Governs These Terms?
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any dispute arising from a quote, booking or these terms will first be addressed directly between you and Juara Holding Group, and failing resolution, is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Indonesian courts.
How Can You Reach Us?
